Todd M. Begg focuses his practice on divorce, equitable distribution, and custody matters with an emphasis on custody litigation. Todd has practiced almost exclusively in this area for more than 20 years; he is known for being articulate and experienced about statutes and case law. With a background in psychology and sociology, Todd is extremely comfortable litigating cases, including high-conflict cases, which may include issues of addiction, mental illness, or abuse. His education and years of experience have taught him how to aggressively analyze the critical testimony of psychologists, social workers, and other experts.
Before founding Pollock Begg Komar Glasser LLC in 2001, Todd worked as a senior attorney with the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll in its Family Law Group, and prior to that, he served as part of the Matrimonial Law Group at Reed Smith.
Todd has tried numerous economic and custody cases in Allegheny County and Western Pennsylvania. He is an active lecturer on family law-related matters and has previously lectured on custody, support, and discovery in divorce actions for local and State bar associations as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
Todd is an active participant in the lives of his two children. In addition to coaching his son's soccer team, he can often be found shooting hockey pucks in the driveway with his children or playing piano duets with his daughter. He is an avid reader and attributes his forthright approach to the law to Abraham Lincoln. He and his wife are competitive runners and enjoy training together in addition to tasting the local cuisine.

On A Personal Note
My colleagues and friends will tell you I'm a fan of Europe and in particular European wines. I'm always happy to make a recommendation, particularly when the south of France is involved. My wife and I have two young children, a 9-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son that are both very involved in the arts and sports. My daughter is in her third year of ballet and performing in the Nutcracker this December. My daughter also performs with the Children’s Festival Chorus of Pittsburgh. This is her first year with the prestigious group, and we couldn’t be more proud. My son jumps around between soccer and hockey, and I tag along coaching and volunteering at every opportunity. My wife and I feel it is extremely important to be involved in our children’s lives, but we do try to sneak off to the gym to have some time together. We find working out to be a tremendous stress reducer and a great time to reconnect. Plus, I've been ramping up the strength training so I can keep up with my son who will be a teenager before I know it!
